Charlene is our business partner, operator and lead groomer here at Fur Bar. She started her grooming career 12 years ago as a part time bather at PetSmart, where she developed a love and passion for the job, turning it into a lifetime career. Working with animals is what came naturally for her as she grew up riding horses from childhood until her early 20s. She has become a business partner in what she calls “a dream come true” grooming salon but also has experience as a vet technician for large/small animal clinics.

Charlene takes great pride in the team she created as most of Fur Bars groomers spent years learning from her and becoming what she calls the “dream team”. She has also been working hard at pushing her competitive grooming career further and started competing in the grooming ring in 2021. Her goal is to make Groom team Canada and we are all rooting for her! She is a fur mom and owns 2 dogs, a boxer mix named Rilee, a miniature poodle named Moira Rose and a cat named Prim.

Outside of the grooming world Charlene is excited to start her new journey with her fiancé Chris, travelling and spending time with family.
